John Reed from Clipper Wind invited us to Washington School's Science night. It was very fun and everyone seemed to have a great time.

Frame Change
We officially ditched the idea of using a car alternator since John Husbands came around and got us a deal on a Permanent Magnet Alternator, soon to come in the mail.

Turbine Base
Chris jumped on the lathe and machined out the pipe fitting to fit a steel base we found. Tyler sawed the base down to size and prepped it for welding. Spencer stepped in and welded the two together.
The frame continued to be build as well but we are waiting for some images to be sent to us.

Design Change
There will no longer be a fixed lower shaft and instead the alternator will be adjustable. The next big question on everybody's mind is should we build this to accept a PMA and ditch the alternator we have, further simplifying the design?
Looks like we are sticking with a design that incorporates both for now.
